One million online orders placed on PEP

Paragon Group UK Ltd, the leading print specialist and added value provider, is celebrating as more than one million orderlines have now been processed using its proprietary e-commerce system, “PEP” (Paragon Ecommerce Platform).

Launched in 2002, PEP was created as a Pan European Print Management Service for its extensive client base. The system allows customers to order on-line from a personalised catalogue and guarantees improved levels of efficiency and control.

Allowing customers to upload orders, track and check the available stocks in real time, PEP enables clients to empower their internal customers while achieving greater levels of control and transparency. For international multi-site clients, PEP offers a range of unique features including multilingual interfaces, spend authority controls, budget management and data linking to client IT systems.

For more complex demands, the system also provides customers with the PEP Project Management System, which enables greater control of project management and print management tools such as direct mail, marketing and creative products. Providing better collaboration between suppliers and end users, PPMS offers faster response times resulting in fewer errors, as well as self service ordering and job tracking.

Paragon’s Added Value Director and creator of the PEP system, Jonathan Stuart said: “PEP has been a great success and has grown from strength to strength. I am delighted that we have seen more than one million orderlines placed on the system. This proves the contribution that a dedicated e-commerce system makes to our business, and more importantly, to the service we provide our clients.”

He adds: “We were one of the first to launch a fully integrated e-commerce service to the market and some people feared that ecommerce would prove difficult to use and create more administration than was necessary. However our client base found PEP to be a more efficient and convenient method of order entry and tracking and achieves very effective end-to-end business processes.”
