Paragon Group UK achieves ISO27001 accreditation

Paragon Group UK Ltd, the leading supplier of print and added value services, has secured ISO27001:2005, the international standard for Information Security Management Systems. ISO/IEC 27001:2005 is the accreditation that assists businesses and organisations throughout the world to implement a best-in-class Information Security Management System.

The international standard relates to the identification, management and reduction of the threats that information may be subject to, through the selection of relevant security controls, systems and processes.

Paul Carmody, Paragon Group UK IT Manager said: “The accreditation clearly demonstrates the validity of your data management and shows a real commitment to upholding information security. It also underlines the importance we place with regard to the safe and secure use of information as a culture throughout the business.”

He added: “We hope that this accreditation will open up new business opportunities with security-conscious customers, in addition to enhancing employee understanding of the importance of confidentiality throughout the workplace. What’s more, it allows Paragon to enforce information security and reduce the possible risk of fraud, information loss and disclosure.”

As organisations have recognised the scale and severity of information security threats, ISO 27001 has become mandatory for businesses working within the security print industry, despite already requiring APACS accreditation to work within the field.

Already APACS accredited, ISO27001 reinforces Paragon’s continual improvements in security within the business. Customers can have assurance that Paragon employs best-in-class procedures and practices.

Employing 1,250 people across Europe and with revenues of €200m, the Paragon Group is a European leader in the provision of print services operating from 17 technical and services sites in 9 countries.
